I am thinking of going to ASU’s flight program after high school and i was wondering how getting hired to a airline works after you graduate. ASU definitely is pricey and I dont want to be stuck with lots of debt and a bad job or no job at all.
Regardless of where you train, after you get all your licenses and ratings you’ll need to build the required 1500hrs to fly for an airline. The most common route is to flight instruct and will take you approx 1.5 -2yrs to build that time. The good news is the world is experiencing a historic pilot shortage and provided you do well in training, you’ll most likely have multiple offers before you’re even ready.
