Greetings,
I am an 18 year old student studying in Japan and I want to become a commercial pilot. I have both Japanese and US citizenship, but I do not have residency in the US. I am currently debating if I should go to a 4-year college in Japan and then train at ATP, or fly in an aviation program at a US college (like the University of North Dakota). What would be the most timely and cost-efficient path to becoming a commercial pilot?

Short answer University aviation programs are rarely timely or cost efficient.

Why not go to a four year college program in the US and then train at ATP? Why the desire to go to college in Japan?
