Aviation Management

Is it worth it for a future aviation career to get a B.S. in aviation management?

William,

In our opinion no. While Major airlines want a 4yr degree, they neither desire or require a degree in aviation. Further if flying doesn’t work out an aviation degree offers little backup for other vocations.

William,

No, airlines don’t care what kind of degree you have. You’d be better off getting one that provides other employment opportunities in case of future furloughs.

William,

I do not think so. I would recommend getting a degree in something else that interests you, that way you have a fall back if something happens and you lose your medical. That being said, many colleges will offer college credits for your pilots licenses, so that makes an aviation degree more attractive in the sense of saving you time and money.
