Commitment to Airline?

For ATP’s Airline Pilot Hiring Partnership, it states that once you make a commitment to their airline, then they will start the tuition reimbursement process. Is this “commitment” just a YES, ill fly for you, or more like a “you owe us 5 years” type of commitment.

Thanks,

Kurt

Kurt,

As far as I know, it’s a commitment bound by contract. My contract with Horizon was a minimum of one year with them. Other airlines may be two years. You’d have to ask a recruiter to find out.

Kurt,

Yes it’s most definitely a commitment. While the length may vary (2yrs is most common), all airlines are businesses and if they’re giving you money they’re going to want something in return.

Kurt,

I believe most of the airlines require a two year commitment for tuition reimbursement, but check with admin for specifics.
