Dui and ppl/cpl

I go a dui in 2012 and one in 2014. I realize this does not look good, but i have 6+ years of a clean driving record.
Would this prevent me from being able to pursue a private pilot license, and eventually a cpl?
Thanks.

Darrell,

I see you getting clever with posting links to other threads, I’ve been trying to do that more often when I see common things and stuff that can be related back to.

Patricia,

Honestly, I am not sure. I suspect that it would not, but you need to check with a FAA doctor. Your first step should be to apply for a first class medical and see how the FAA responds when you report your DUIs. If you are able to obtain a medical, then you should contact a few regional airlines and ask them directly.
