October was another great month. I had a pretty similar month to September, with lots of flying. My original line had 15 days off, with four 4 day trips followed by 3 days off each week. In the trip trade window, I traded three of the four trips for more favorable ones. For two of the them, I was able to trade into identical trips with Charlotte overnights. This meant that I was able to go home to stay with my parents for a 23 hour overnight in the middle of the trip. Unfortunately, there wasn’t a lot of open time this month, but I still managed to pick up some OT turns on my days off.
For November I was awarded my third choice of lines for the month (out of 450+), which was a little surprising. I even managed to get Thanksgiving off. I wouldn’t say I am very senior at my base, but I’m still able to get pretty much the exact schedule I want each month.
