How do taxes work?

I’ve recently found out that professional sports players get taxes for every state they play in (LA@NY LA players get taxed for New York) with pilots flying within states all the time is it similar that or something else?

Jayvyn,

Pilots work under the IRS’s Department of Transportation tax rules. As such, you only pay state income taxes in the state you live in. I believe California is trying to challenge this as they always seem to be in need of more of our money.
