How long does it take for pilots to pay off student loans?

I am a senior in high school and plan to attend flight school this fall. I figured since I am a female in aviation I will get a bunch of scholarships, but that’s not the case. With the cost of regular tuition and flight time, I will be around $100,000 in debt. How long does it take to be able to pay off loans and get out of debt? Any scholarship recommendations?

You would need to talk to the admissions or finance department about loan repayment terms as they are the experts on that.

I am not aware of any scholarships out there.

Sorry I couldn’t be of more help, let us know what other questions you have.

Just a quick reminder since I didn’t see it posted yet - to attend ATP, you MUST have 2 years of either full time work experience or university. It is not currently possible to go straight out of high school.

If you are looking to fly for a major airline and have the means, this would be best spent getting at least your associates, if not a bachelors out of the way since you will eventually need it.

Good luck.
