When I was working towards my PPL, my CFI insisted we go up EVERY Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. He’s been instructing for 30 years and can attest to the importance of consistency. In fact, his only students that ever got their PPL were the ones that flew at least once every few days.

To echo the others absolutely multiple times a week but also to add to it. If you find the weather cancels a flight here and there I would suggest “chair flying”. Go over your last few lessons in your mind sitting on your couch without distractions, keep going over issues your having to increase your skills while you can’t fly plus it will save you money as you don’t have to spend Hobbs time going over it again.
I litterally took a picture of my cockpit and went to staples and had it blown up to a poster so I could sit in front of it and run my checks daily.

I thought I was the only person who would do something like that! That’s exactly what I did during my second week of flying.
