My instructor and myself were involved in an incident when we came in to land in a tailwheel aircraft and then plane ground pooped and the one struck creating damage to the fuselage. Scary experience. I am a little hesitant to get into an airplane again. But since I was not PIC of the flight will this effect my record/getting hired by an airline?

It shouldn’t as you were receiving instruction. That said the question often asked is “were you ever involved in an accident or incident?”. Since the answer is yes I’d be prepared to talk about it.

Since you were not the PIC, you should be fine on this. That being said, you will most likely be asked about it, so I would be ready to tell the story and what you learned from it.
