Majors and 2 AAS Degrees or one 4 year BS degree

I am 40 years old and am a Sheriff’s Deputy with a 2 year AAS Degree in Police Science. I want to become a commercial pilot. If I go back to school, and get another AAS Aviation degree in the process of my certifications, will that count for 4 years of school for the majors or will I need an actual BS degree?

The majors want to see a four year degree, not four years of schooling. You will need an actual BS degree.

Nate,

Since time is of the essence, I would encourage you to do your flight training and start building time at a Regional. Once there you can get a BA/BS online with credit for you AA and your pilot certs making it potentially a fairly short process.
