I first saw it on Facebook and people are so excited. I guess they think that SWA is going to start doing inter island. They say HAL has a monopoly on all flights in HI which is funny that they say that because I lived there 4 years and flew on/off island several times and hardly ever flew Hawaiian. They think they are going to be able to buy those $49/99 tickets back to the mainland. I love how they say ticket sales start in 2018 but no flights until at least 2019 and they haven’t even decided which airports they are going to use 
Hopefully (for them) they will actually be able to pass their ETOPS trials this time. Last time, Southwest failed this miserably. ETOPS is the maintenance program that allows you to fly over water for extended periods.
