Masters degree

Hello,

Thanks for taking the time to answer all the questions. In regards to getting hired at a legacy/major, I know that a bachelors degree is very important. As I have a master’s degree as well, would that bolster my chances/help my resume stand out or more so simply “check off” the degree section that a legacy airline recruiting department would be looking at.

Thank you!
Jack

Jack,

While a Masters certainly is an impressive achievement, in this industry it will not do a thing for your airline career (unless you’re goal is not flying and perhaps some relevent dept in management, ie, marketing, businese).

Jack,

A master’s degree is interesting and certainly won’t hurt, but it will not really help either. The majors like to see a degree, beyond that they are most focused on flight time and flying experience.
