MGIB Use

Hello,

I am Air Force and I have heard many different answers about me using my MGIB. I’ve heard that I won’t be able to use my MGIB, that I will be able to use my MGIB, and that I will only be able to use partial of my GI Bill. What I’m trying to get at is, I would like a concrete answer on whether or not I could use my MGIB when my enlistment is up for flying. Thank you for any answers you all can provide!.

At ATP, you can use your GI bill to cover examiner’s fees (which can be up to $8,000), but you will not be able to use them for the program itself. This is some ridiculous restriction that the government places on flight training at part 61 flight schools.
