I saw this article and wanted to jump through my computer to confront this person! I don’t mean physically, but only people who actually fly airplanes are pilots. It irritates me to no end that people pretend to be something they are not!

Oh geez, I’m embarrassed when my wife even mentions my hobby or that I’m even interested in aviation. Now, yeah, of course, when I’m getting paid by an outfit to fly their planes with ATP in hand, then you can share that I’m a pilot. Maybe even when I’m instructing.
How embarrassing.
I think I have over 1000 flight sim (game) hours…I AM NOT A PILOT.
