Brand new FO at a Regional Airline and have been flying to Canada on multiple trips. Here’s my schedule in April where I did Canada. I’ve done Canada now in May as well:
Timelines change over the years, Regionals are in dire need of captains right now, so the flying is crazy. Whenever I’ve asked the senior ones at my airline about timeline they say 5-7 years if you’re sticking with “the flow.” Doesn’t hurt to apply outside the flow, just means you have to conduct an interview and try. Worst they can say is “no” or “not right now, sorry.”
