Picking a flight school

What Flight Schools are top 3 in the US?

What Flight Schools are the best in Texas and Florida ? If you recommend another flight school drop the location and let me know !

Jordan,

This forum is sponsored by ATP and all the mentors are ATP grads so of course we believe ATP is. ATP has been successfully training airline pilots for decades. We chose it for our own path and believe it’s the best path for others too, if it weren’t we wouldn’t be here.

However, you do your own research and make your own conclusions. Just last year, 1256 graduates were placed at airlines around the country.

ATP has a 8 locations in Texas and 10 locations in Florida. Go to the website for more specific details.

Jordan,

Not sure exactly who the top 3 are. The top 2 are ATP and Embry Riddle. As Hannah said this is ATPs forum and we’re all slightly biased (ok very biased). That’s not because we’re salesmen. We simply were all in the same position you’re in right now, did our research and decided ATP was the best route. With that in mind I recommend you do the same.

What you should know is ATP created the Airline Career Pilot Program over 35yrs ago (long before everyone jumped on board). Literally tens of thousands of grads are flying for the airlines and long before everyone was getting hired due to the shortage, ATP grads were getting preferential hiring with reduced hours (when that could be done).

Jordan,

Take it for what it’s worth, but here is an article below from FLYING Magazine in the summer 2022 giving a list of “Top Flight Schools” in the US. This forum is sponsored by ATP and as Hannah mentioned, we’re graduates and airline pilots from the product of ATP. Only you will be able to tell which flight school will be best for you, there are hundreds of flight schools all over the US - you will have to do your own research to find the ‘best’ one for you.

Visit an ATP location nearest to you and get your personal experience visiting a location. You can schedule a tour of the facility through calling the admissions office.

One question for you, do you have any previous flight experience?
