This may be a unique question. I saw an Instagram story the other day from a United 757/767 pilot talking about how certain regional airlines that you could be hired at could sabotage you in some way or another to stop you from advancing your career to the majors and such outside of the regionals. Is this true? If it is, why? and how could a new hire pilot at a regional that operates like this prevent it?
Tamesh,
I’ve seen IG posts that the World is flat, Elvis is still alive, Elon Musk is an alien, mermaids exist, you can get good pizza outside of NY, etc etc etc.
Long short that’s utter nonsense and don’t believe everything you see on the internet!

Tamesh,
I have never heard of a case of that happening. That would open a regional up to huge liability and simply not be in their best interests.
Now the internet is right when it comes to the best pizza being in Chicago, everybody knows that to be true.
Chris
Case in point. This is a perfect example of a seemingly intelligent individual spreading ridiculousness on the internet. Again, you can’t believe everything you read online.

Tamesh,
What they could be referring to is “metering”. Skywest flies for Delta, American, United and Alaska. Since taking a pilot from SkyWest to Delta would be “hurting the regional model”, some airlines have decided to meter their new hire candidates. For example, a Skywest candidate and a PSA candidate both receive CJOs. The PSA pilot gets the first available class date while the Skywest pilot gets a TBD date, or one 9 months later. So while that pilot has a CJO from Delta, they will continue flying for Skywest until Delta decides to give them a class date. That is an airline “metering” new hires from certain regionals over others.

The best pizza is in New Jersey. Hoboken, specifically, where they can still legally operate a a coal fired pizza oven.
ALERT!!!
If someone in admin is monitoring Justin’s account’s been hacked by a VERY confused individual! Either that or he’s having a BAD medicinal interaction of some kind and needs to be watched closely!
Either way please disregard the above!

Personally I would say Little Ceasars is a great choice but that’s just me.
