Not bad, I always enjoy the Billings overnight myself.
Anything particular you like doing on your layovers there? I don’t usually venture out in BIL. The hotel has a nice gym though.
DAL, however, has become a new favorite. Not necessarily for the area, but I can take public transportation for $2 to a rock climbing gym and pick up some poke on the way back. Would never have guessed DAL would be on my PBS preferences. If it weren’t for those two things I’d much prefer BIL.
I haven’t been able to find anything to do like that in BIL. Mostly bars, cafes, restaurants there.
Coulson Public Park and Swords Park both have walking trails that are decent. Two Moon Park is probably the best. Now let’s be clear, none of these are Yosemite Valley, but they are decent. You will probably need to take an Uber to any of them though if you are staying downtown.
Next time you have an overnight at GEG, there’s a good rock climbing gym downtown you should check out. I go there all the time! Unfortunately it’s temporarily closed at the moment until about the middle of December due to the WA COVID restrictions.
I intentionally drove past it when my wife and I were looking at houses a few months ago. When it opens I will definitely be checking it out. It is VERY close to the hotel we stay at.
I see that Spokane actually has two gyms. Have you been to both? Which do you prefer?
I go to Wild Walls downtown. I’ve never been to the other one up north in Spokane. I mainly just do bouldering, but Wild Walls also has lots of top rope options as well. I believe the other one is just bouldering.
