Although I’m still in High School, I would like to know how family life is? Dating during the regionals and having kids. How do you manage enough time to be with wife and kids and start a family?

Family life in the airlines is what you make of it, like any other job. Sure, there is a fair amount of time spent on the road, but there is a lot of time at home as well. Plus, the time at home is truly time off, no phone calls, no take home work, just pure time home.
I have not had a problem with dating, most people seem pretty understanding of the schedule and everybody has constraints of their own to work with.

As Chris said it’s as good or bad as you make. There’s no question at the beginning there will be some sacrifice. Junior pilots often have to work weekends and holidays. Hopefully you’re with someone who understands. That’s one of the reasons many pilots marry other people in the industry. They have a greater understanding of the job. It really comes down to finding the right partner which is true no matter what you do.
