I had originally planned to do my instrument training locally but I had to leave due to safety issues. I am now starting ATP in November with my private. Since I have a few approaches and cross countries logged, will that cause any sort of issue or will I just simply start fresh with my instrument training when I begin in November?
I’ve read a few other people with similar circumstances. I’ve gotten the impression the only options are zero time, or with private. Since you are starting with your private, you would go through the same program as someone without those cross-countries logged. There is neither special accommodation for them nor problems because you have them; it will simply be as if they don’t exist.
You will start fresh. Of course the previous flight time will still count towards your total time.
