Is there other ways to become an airline pilot and build hours towards the ATP license without being a CFI first? I have my private pilots license and I am working on my Instrument and Commercial right now. I’ve heard of a place called Landcare Aviation that hires commercial pilots but I was wondering if there are any other options out there for new commercial pilots to build hours towards the ATP license.

There definitely are other options it’s just that flight instruction is the most common. Flight instruction also provides excellent experience. I’m not familiar with Landcare but there are small cargo, charter and commuter services out there. Also traffic watch, banner tow, cropdusting etc. It’s really a matter of being creative and doing some searching. Google is a wonderful tool.
