Time between finishing training and beginning CFI employment

I understand that ATP has rules about absences and that, barring some sort of illness, training should continue uninterrupted from day 1 until you earn all your ratings.

That said, what are the terms at the end of training prior to accepting CFI employment with ATP?

How much time do you have to accept (perhaps defer?) ATP’s CFI offer?

Michael,

The offer is made when you finish the program and you either accept it or not, there is no set deferral time frame. You can of course reapply later if you initially turn the job down, but the job is no longer guaranteed at that point.
