Total cost

What would the total cost of the program be if you completed all the way and got all the certificates and everything you needed to eventually work as an airline pilot?
Also one of the things I read in the PDF downloads was going all the way would take two years. Would you be able to learn and train here for the full two years?

Christina,

The pricing information is available here: Airline Career Pilot Program / ATP Flight School

The program itself takes seven months, the rest of the two years is generally spent as a CFI and for that you get paid.

I highly recommend that you spend some serious time both on ATP’s page and on the FAQ section of this page. There is a wealth of information between those two pages that will really help guide you in the right direction.

Of course we are always happy to answer whatever questions you may have.

Chris

Christina,

Keep in mind too that there are other costs that are not included in the tuition like iPad, headset, and checkride fees. More info can be found on ATP’s website.

Tory

Christina,
Here is a good resource for the timeline of the program. In all, it will take about two years to be qualified for a regional. Seven months in the fast track program and the remaining time building as a flight instructor to 1500 hours.

Hi Hannah,

Is it around two years total, including the 7-month program, to qualify to fly a regional jet, or is it 7 months plus an additional two years to earn the 1500 hours?

Kevin

Kevin,

Two years total. You will complete the program with 275 hours within 7 months, leaving you with 1,225 hours to reach 1500 which is easily attainable as the average monthly flight time for a CFI at ATP is 75 hours/mo.

Tory

Kevin,
As Tory said, that’s total! From day one of your ACPP you can start the countdown to the two year goal to be sitting in the right seat of a regional jet.
