Training Support Specialist?

Hi! I just recently found out about the 18 month work program that ATP has. I can’t find hardly anything about it. Do any of you have experience going down this path? What are the odds of actually getting the 2% interest loan without a co-signer? Is this even something I should look into being only 18 years old? Any information will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Evan,

I don’t have experience but Addison talked a little bit about it here in this thread: Training Support Specialist -> ATP Program

Ben,

That’s the only helpful post I could find about it. I’m really just wanting to know if anyone has actually went through the 18 month process and have gotten approved for the said interest rate.

Evan

Evan,

I would call ATP directly for info.

Evan,

The program is new. Not enough time has passed for anyone to have completed the program yet. Admin will have the most accurate information about the program.

Evan,

Just make sure that two years would count as your work experience for admission requirements. I bet it would but do to your age, I’d double check. Would be a great opportunity for you though!

Let us know what they say.

I called ATP and asked about the odds of me getting in at my age. He said they’ve got people working there from 18-65 years old and they don’t discriminate. Very good news for me, haha. Just spent 2 hours making a resume and cover letter. Will let you guys know what happens.

HI Evan,

I’m glad that you were able to speak with them about this opportunity. If you have any additional questions please let us know!

Hey guys, it looks like I won’t be getting the job. I just don’t have enough work experience. I’m glad I tried though.

Keep your head up Evan! There are plenty of opportunities out there and I am sure you’ll find the perfect fit for you! If you need any help or advice, feel free to reach out!

Evan,

It’s not necessarily a “no” just potentially a “not yet”. You’re young and have little experience, college or work wise. It’s just a fact of where you are in life right now, but you’re actively working towards getting that experience. Try not to get discouraged. One step at a time.

Evan,

I was always told growing up by my grandmother, patience is a virtue. You’re young and have a lot of growth that can be done. Use this as an opportunity to keep pushing and always striving at your next opportunity.

If I remember correctly, you are taking some college credits this fall? Focus on those right now get good grades, build some experience part-time if you can and then really at the next available time.
