What GPA Do I Need to Become a Pilot

Hello community, I have been wondering this for a while. What GPA is suitable to become a pilot? I’m probably the youngest user here (8th grade) but have been taking classes and courses. At the end of my past two trimesters of school I have completed with a 3.4 GPA both times. I was just wondering if this is suitable and will be eligible in high school and even college?

Jack,

The airlines aren’t overly concerned with GPAs but they do want to see something acceptable. From what I’ve seen as long as you’re at or above a 3.0 you’ll be fine.

Ok thank you for this! I sincerely appreciate it.

Jack,

I had a 3.0 when I was hired at Continental, which was the minimum acceptable. From what I have seen, 3.0 is acceptable, but 3.5 is better.

Jack,
You’re still young and have time to make changes to your study habits. High school grades effect the colleges you get in to. College grades are what the airlines are interested in seeing. With that being said, 3.0 is a minimum but higher is always better.
