Hello! I was a police officer and ended up being significantly injured where I have nerve damage in my right leg. I am still able to push pedals in my car fine but I do have a deficiency in the nerves going down my leg and to my foot. I use a brace for walking and I can drive with or without the brace.
No other medical issues to speak of. Would that be something that could disqualify me from a commercial flight program or even getting hired at an airline?

As long as you can obtain a first class medical, you will not be limited in the career. We aren’t AME’s here so you’ll want to make an appointment with them to discuss in more detail.

None of us are medical doctors, you will need to speak directly with a FAA Medical Examiner. You can search for one here:
Search for an “AME” who can issue a First Class Medical. You need to be able to obtain a medical that does not have any restrictions associated with it.
