Private Pilot Test

Seuk,

My suggestion is get an electronic EFB!

I have an ASA CX3 coming in a couple of days, but won’t really know how to use that just yet. The King’s course does a pretty good job of teaching g how to use the manual one, and they say that you will fail if you use the electronic one in the practical test.

Electronic E6B all the way. Those old ones are still a total mystery to me.

Seuk,

There may be a handful of dinosaur examiners who want to see you use a manual E6B but I believe the majority are fine with the E version.

That’s good to know. I guess the King’s course needs to update their information regarding electronic computers. I will play around with my ASA CX3 when I get it and learn how to use it. I think it’ll save me a lot of time and some bad calculations with going manual as I noticed that the lines aren’t lining up perfectly on my manual one, which gives me a slight error here and there.

I never let a student use an electronic E6B… yeah - I was that “guy.” Learn (and get good at) the hard way - primacy matters.
