After I was denied, I added a co-signer, my credit is average, and my co-signer is above average. Once the co-signer was added, Sallie Mae wanted to speak with both me and the co-signer. That was three days ago with no update since. Has anyone here had a similar experience, and how did it turn out? Thank you in advance.

If you don’t want to wait for Salle Mae, Wells Fargo also has the program for ATP. I have an average credit, but my wife has the credit. Within a day I had an answer once they verified income.

Thanks for the response, I’m not as much in a rush, as wondering if them taking time was a good sign or bad. I will keep Wells Fargo in mind, but hopefully get the good news from SM and will not need to use them.
The same thing happened to me, and once we had spoken to them together it took about about a week and then they Len me know we were approved. Hope that helps.

I t also wouldn’t hurt to apply for both to see which gives you better interest rate. When I applied my parents who co-signed have really good credit but Sallie Mae offer like a 10 percent interest and WF offered closer to 5
In case anyone has the same questions as I did, I got my approval for 100 percent financing today, so a total of 6 days from the time I first applied.
