47 starting new career

I’m 47 restarting my flight training which was begun years ago. My concern is I drive local tractor trailers and try to fly 2 times a week. I’ve got 20 hours but looking at Republic Airlines academy to accelerate my training. Has anyone went through the program or currently enrolled. Just wondering if going that route it’s best or if working here locally on Private Instrument Commercial and ME then looking for a Part 135 carrier like Air Cargo Carriers would be best.
