Failed more than one checkride

I go to a nationally known university to pursue my flight training needs. The way they do checkrides here is they split the practical up into 2 sections - a FTD checkride and a flight checkride. I have failed one of each for my instrument rating. I know this is not ideal but is this the end of my pilot dreams? I am hoping to do corporate flying so would that hurt my chances?

Charles,

It sounds like your university is really doing things the hard way. I have no idea why you would subject your students to double the check rides.

Two failures is not the end of the world, but three starts getting really dicey. I would be extremely careful and prepared moving forward.

Chris

Thank you so much, I do disagree with how they do it, but they wont change,

Charles,

You’re not doomed. I have two failures and know regional airline pilots with more.
