New pilot contract during work

Hi, straight up question as I find it interesting, lets say you start working at this airline at 46/hr for a year then in the middle of the year new pilot contracts came out with increase pay(70/hr)do you stay with your old pay, the new pay starts next year or it changes immediately next paycheck?

Brandon,

Maybe, maybe or maybe? It all depends on what’s negotiated. It could be immediate, it could start at the next scheduled increase in the future, it could even be retroactive and you’d get a fat catch up check. There also could be a carve out that it doesn’t include pilots on property less than 1 year. I’ve seen all the above and you won’t know until you see what was negotiated and ultimately ratified.
