June was a pretty good month overall. I was able to get my 3rd choice of line out of 14 AND bidding number 9 for the month. I have been fortunate to not have to worry about getting lines I don’t want as I’m pretty open-minded about the lines we see at my base. This month I focused heavily on bidding around having off June 1, as my local hometown airport had an airport open house/fly-in where we welcomed thousands of attendees from the surrounding communities and nearly 40-50 fly-in airplanes. I was one of the main event coordinators for that event and I really wanted to ensure my availability allowed for it.
Furthermore, this month I reached the milestone of obtaining at minimum, 750 hours of Part 121 time to qualify for the CA pay, and project an upgrade class date of late September/October. I look forward to July and August as I aim closer to another milestone.
