Recommended self study books

So I’m about 3 months out from starting my way in the air and I’m wondering if there are recommendations for specific manuals or books to buy.
I looked online and there are different books and manuals. What would be good to purchase so I can read and come in ready and with at least minimal knowledge that should be expected?

Thank you in advance.

Sean,

If you’re starting with ATP, they will supply everything you need once you secure a start date and pay your deposit. If not I would ask the flight school you will be training with. Regardless the FAA has some great books available free online. I’d start with the Airplane Flying Handbook and the Pilot’s Handbook of Aeronautical Knowledge.
