I am 17 and I want to become an airline pilot and want to begin my training soon, but i need a first class medical certificate to become a commercial pilot. I’m worried about my vision because its not perfect. Last time i went to a vision doctor i needed -0.5 glasses, im not sure what measurements that is. Can i still get my first class medical certificate with this not perfect vision? Thank you.
German,
Only an AME can decide if you can hold a first class medical, but I do know that if you’re vision can be corrected to 20/20, you should be fine.

German,
In the US, you only need to be correctable to 20/20 with glasses, it really does not matter what your prescription is for, just that you can see 20/20 when wearing glasses.
