Great find! Watching those vintage videos are amazing, I personally cannot wait to one day get down to the beach and plane spot all day.

I am not sure, but it seems as those the airport displaced the threshold about 100 feet, so the airplanes are not quite as low as they used to be, but it is still pretty low.

Wasn’t there multiple instances where individuals have died because of the jet blast, that may be why there is a displaced threshold now. The latest article I could find of a death at Princess Juliana is 2017.

Yes, I believe there have been a few deaths from the fence. I cannot fathom why somebody would ever think that was a good idea.
