So I’m just getting ready to formally enroll. I’ve watched YouTube videos on… Well it feels like about everything, ad nauseum. With the fast track ATP program, what sections should I read? What ones should I really focus on? 61,91,121,135?
Get the FAR AIM app, its $10, but well well worth it. On the app, it breaks things down by rating. So you can choose the “Private/Recreational” section and it gives you all the applicable regulations for the phase. It makes studying much easier.

Not only that, but it makes searching much easier. I am studying for the checkride, and anything you want to look up, you can just start typing it in and it’ll pop up right away

Now… Is underlining things in my paper copy going too far? Even as a young 20 something I prefer paper copies of things. I’ll pick up the app though
No, not all. I tabbed out (went out and got those sticky note page markers) all of the important regulations in my paper copy. The electronic version just really helps you get organized and know which regulations to study for which rating.
The digital FAR/AIM is good but you’re going to want a hard copy as well. The hard copy has a TOC for PPL, IR, CPL, etc. It’s a list of all the regs and relevant parts of the AIM for each license. Plus, having a hard copy is easier to tab. Idk if students are still doing that, but everyone I met at ATP tabbed their FAR/AIM for quick reference.

If there is anyway or anyone can help me to tab my 2020 far/aim that would be the god gift for me I already know part 61 and 91 is the most of it for PPL but still don’t know which specific parts I have to be more focused🙏

I would point out that when you sign up for ATP, they provide a hard copy of the FAR/AIM in the training bundle. ATP has found that students are able to retain information better via paper books and thus continue to provide many of the manuals in that format and electronically.
Figuring out what to tab yourself is half the fun.
I am already a student pilot for private I decided to get my ppl from my local flight school which is in van nuys California then sign up with ATP at Camarillo location

While I don’t share Tory’s enthusiasm for tabbing, someone telling you what to tab won’t benefit you nearly as much as you doing it for yourself. You’re tabbing the sections and FARs that are commonly referenced but that’s something you should be doing as you’re learning and something your instructor should be helping you navigate.

I totally understand, and it make sense.
I have never been a big fan of tabs myself. I find that they get in the way and don’t really help me find anything faster, but it does seem that the vast majority of people prefer to use tabs.

I’m with Chris I never tabbed mine, honestly as you go through you’ll memorize the exact part codes and just go straight to it. For now training I’d say get familiar with just parts 61, 91, and maybe Apendix A 43 (I believe). Nothing worse than asking the DPE to look something up and it taking like 10 minutes of just flipping through pages until he/she eventually just moved on and asks the next question.
Hence the benefit of tabs
