Quick update:
First solo today! Of course I forgot to put the memory card in the camera but maybe it’s for the best, second touch and go wasn’t so pretty. Took slightly longer than expected due to plane maintenance issues (yes Adam you told us so 
), but hopefully on track for check ride early June then ATP sometime in July.
Most excellent Alex! Kinda cool going up by yourself isn’t it? Nice work and as far as the delays I’m not saying a word

Yes, the little 172 climbs a bit faster without an instructor
I’ve been told it’s kind of like spring fever, where everybody and their brother wants to go fly once the weather started turning nice here in the Bay Area and breaking planes in the process 
On the other hand doing pattern work next to the Oakland Coliseum (28R) and buzzing the tower while staring down 737’s on short final (28L) are pretty cool experiences as well.

To be honest I didn’t “feel” anything until the third lap 
. Too focused the first couple times around on calling everything out to myself and making sure I didn’t forget anything. But yeah, it’s pretty cool to fly the plane all by myself.

Congratulations! Flying an airplane by yourself is a big deal! My first solo landings were not as good as I would have liked, but hey, the airplane was reusable
