35 and want to get started but trouble getting financed

having trouble getting financed or cosigned for are there grant options or such that could help me start

Timothy,

There are very few, if any, scholarships or grants for flying. I would encourage you to speak to the finance department of ATP as they are the experts on all such things.

Chris

Timothy,

Credit lenders want to ensure repayment at the dated agreement on the loan agreement, sometimes making it difficult for some to get the loan. There are ways to get financing approved; I recommend reaching out to ATP’s Finance team and seeing what they would recommend on your situation. For most, it can come from credit history or the co-signor isn’t sufficing the credit lenders requirements because of repayment. The other thing is, you can talk with the credit lenders and request a review of your loan from the underwriters if you feel it could be looked at. Another option is talking with your financial advisor if they recommend anything. There are far and few grants, scholarships and tuition programs out there, but they are there… just sometimes hard to find.

Timothy,

Talk to the finance department first. The fact is it’s a large unsecured loan. If you don’t have years of good credit history, sizable savings and a favorable income to debt ratio there’s a high likelihood you will need a cosigner. If thats not an option, you will need to be patient and work on building those qualities in your own portfolio over the next 5-10 years.
