Can I Become a Pilot With a Mild Case of ADHD/ADD

Hello, I have been wondering lately what my career in aviation could look like with my mild case of ADD. I was wondering if it could be disqualifying when trying to get into training or getting a job at the airlines? If it does have an affect what can I do to have a career in aviation with ADD. As stated before this is a mild/light case of ADHD/ADD and I do not need medication. Thank you very much!

Jack,

The single biggest factor is whether or not you can get a medical and which class you qualify for. To fly as an airline pilot you must obtain a First Class Medical.

None of us are Dr’s nor can we give any advice as every individual is different. I recommend you contact an AME (Aviation Medical Examiner) in your area for a consultation.
