Looking to get an iPad mini, the newest one. I know ATP says to get the cellular model, but will the WiFi one work just fine? Always looking to save a couple pennys where I can!
ATP says to get the cellular model because that’s the only one that has GPS capabilities. So no, the wifi one will not work.

Logan is absolutely right. You must get the cellular version because it is GPS enabled. You need that for ForeFlight.
Just to clarify though, you need to buy the iPad that is wifi+Cellular but you don’t have to activate the cellular capability and pay for the line monthly.
Does that make sense?
So buy the wifi+cellular iPad but then use it like it’s wifi only.
