Hey guys,
I noticed the statistic Justin put on the thread the other day. I saw that the Commercial Pass rate for ATP is at 76%, which is below nation average. Does anyone have any thoughts as to why it is below, and what can I do to make sure I am in the 76%? Thanks!
Lynn,
I am not party to those percentages or the reasons behind the failures. My best advice is simply to study and take it as seriously as possible. I actually found the commercial to be one of the easier checkrides. Just remember that every checkride builds on the ones before it.

Lynn,
As Chris said we’re not privy but I would speculate ATPs failure rates are higher for a number of ratings. Why? Because virtually every flight school other than ATP will let you take weeks, months or even years to prepare for each and every checkride, as long as you keep paying. ATP’s goal is not just to train you but to prepare you for the airlines and airline training. Simply put not everyone can keep up and the truth is not everyone with $75K should be an airline pilot.
Adam
Does anyone happen to know the average percentage of all ATP students that graduate each year?
Cody,
I couldn’t swear to it but I was told not too long ago it’s around 80%?
Adam
Thanks man.
Cody,
I believe it is around 80-90%, but I am not sure.
Chris
