As pilots it’s hard to say exactly what effect we and our families have on the airlines destiny? 
BUT, if you’re talking about destinations then yes you and your immediate family (partner, children and parents) can fly free standby.

At my airline, the immediate family is eligible for travel benefits. This means the employee, spouse, parents and children until the age of 23. If there are seats available on any flight in our system, those eligible pass riders can ride for free on those flights. So to directly answer your question, yes.
