Diabetes and pilots

Hi
I graduate from Comair back in 2002 as a com/pilot. CFII, ONCE I FINISHED I GOT WITH DIABETES, RECENTLY SOMEONE TOLD ME, THAT THE FAA IS ACCEPTING PEOPLE LIKE ME WITH DIABETES, NOTE: I HAVE A PUMP AND DEXCOM AND KEEP MY A1C AROUND 6.

PLEASE LET ME KNOW UR THOUGHTS IF WHAT I READ IS TRUE,

My thoughts are the FAA has changed their stance on diabetes to some degree but as always EVERY case is unique.

You need to consult with an AME. Every other answer is speculative.

ZACK,

YOU WILL NEED TO CHECK WITH YOUR FAA MEDICAL EXAMINER. AS A COMMERCIAL PILOT AND CFII YOU SHOULD BE FAMILIAR WITH THAT PROCESS.

It is indeed possible, I’m living proof. A simple google search would have gotten you to that answer tho and the necessary parameters.
