Hi! Curious if pilots for Empire Airlines wear traditional pilot uniform of white shirt/tie/epaulettes, or if they wear something different? Some photos show people in blue polo shirts with an Empire logo. Or do some pilots wear apparel branded for FedEx? Or something else entirely?
Thank you in advance.
Sarah,
I have no clue but they’re flying boxes so does it really matter?
Adam
Sarah,
A simple google search as well as browsing their social media makes it seem that the uniform is a company branded polo. But like Adam said, is this a huge selling point to going to the airline or not? It shouldn’t be… Empire is part of the purple runway program with a finish line of flying for FedEx. Is that your goal?

Sarah,
I truly had to do a search on “Empire Airlines,” I almost forgot that is a partnered to ATP. I would guess they have a different dress policy as passenger pilots? I know Southwest sometimes can wear polos and slacks when ferrying planes or doing some maintenance flights (Flying with Big Ern on YouTube talked about that). Does wear a polo versus a button down with tie sell the airline you’re going to fly for?

Thank you everyone so much for the information! Great points, everyone.
