Hey everyone, its been a minute since I’ve been on here. I’ve now finished my private, instrument and commercial at ATP. I chose to opt out of the CFI school at ATP and started multi commercial today. I feel like being a CFI just isn’t for me. With all that being said, any information regarding low hour pilot jobs would be much appreciated. Not really looking to banner tow either. I live in Atlanta, GA and am not tied down to having to stay here I am more than willing to relocate. I’ll have roughly 280 hours once I finish up here within the next 9 days after I take my check ride. Thanks for all the information.

Cameron,
Ii will be honest, you have really restricted your options here. I would go out to the local airport and ask around, there are always resources posted on the internet as well.

A lot of people feel like being a CFI ins’t for them. In my case, going to CFI school was just the “next step”, but while there I started to get excited about sharing my knowledge with others and was looking forward to it. I have a few friends that went and did aerial surveying and then ended up going back to get their CFI ratings.
No offense, but you have really limited your options, so if the only offer you can get is banner towing you may have to take it. There are not a surplus of jobs at that experience level, especially if you are looking to stay where you currently live. If you are on facebook I would suggest looking around there as there are many pages that address this and that may be a good place to network.
Cameron,
While I understand your lack of desire to instruct you yourself just expressed the issue. What do you do now? I have no clue what jobs there might be in your area but you clearly don’t know either. If you had your CFIs, even if it wasn’t your first choice, you could at the very least start building time immediately and it’s ALWAYS easier to find a job when you have a job.
You really need to start hustling because the last thing you want to do is lose your currency and get rusty which will just exacerbate the problem.

Cameron,
Best advice is getting online and searching for low-time jobs in your area and visiting local airports to gather information on the companies that operate out of them and which of them accept low-time applicants.
My peers have found jobs in aerial survey, small cargo, traffic watch, and cloud seeding.
