Good afternoon noon Adam. I just failed my private pilot checkride today for the last minute when I was doing landings didn’t put too much cross corrections, so I have to do one take off and landing next week with the examiner next week. Is that gonna effect me to get hire?? I would like to hear your thoughts thanks. JamaJama,
Checkride failures are never a good thing but they are unfortunately fairly common. That said you definitely don’t want to make a habit of it. One failure, not a problem. Two? Ok it happens. Three or more, now we have to talk and perhaps there’s a bigger issue.
My advice is shake this one off but remember this lousy feeling and do your best to make sure it doesn’t happen again.

Just try to put your best foot forward as you proceed and don’t let this affect you, although I get that it is easier said than done. I do know many pilots that have had a check ride failure, it is not the end of the world.
