Hello,
I’m new in this forum and I’m a private pilot license holder with 47 years old, I was wondering if anyone can help direct me to the right direction.
I’m looking to pursuit a career as a commercial pilot (airlines).
Any tips?
Enroll in ATPs Airline Career Pilot Program, complete the rest of your training in just 5mos, build time working as an instructor then start your career.
The hours vary from day to day and week to week depending on what phase you’re in, how you’re progressing and other factors like weather. The idea is for your training to remain consistent throughout the program so while you might not necessarily be flying, simming or in ground school 8hrs a days, you need to be available full-time. When you’re not actually training you’ll be studying or resting.
You just need to complete the enrollment steps before securing a start date. With a private pilot license already, you’ll start with instrument and progress through multi engine instructor ratings. After your program, you could have the opportunity to instruct with an ATP location to build the remainder of your time with access to dozens of pathway programs and tuition reimbursement.
