Phone Policy

Since some flights may be long are pilots allowed to use electronics on the plane such as a phone or computer? Also can pilots have cameras to capture pictures in the cockpit?

Thanks, Androu

Most airlines have very strict policies against using anything on the flight deck that may interfere or distract the pilot from their duties. Short answer is no.

No. Only approved electronic devices are allowed. At my airline, a cellphone is only allowed to be used when the aircraft is on the ground with the parking break set.

Absolutely not. There are very strict company and FAA policies against such things.
