Hello community! I thought of this question in furtherance of an airline pilot career and was wondering what are the best ways to build up your resume as a teenager?

As a teen the best thing you can do is focus on doing well in school. A solid gpa will trump being Pres of the Dungeons and Dragons Club!

Acquiring good grades and maybe an honor society or two would be fantastic. Other than that, there are volunteer events that you could use, including the Civil Air Patrol (CAP). I would check in with your local airport to see if there are any volunteer opportunities or employment (if you want to find a summer job) at the airport.

The best thing you can do right now is to get good grades and stay out of trouble. A lot of potential pilots have to deal with the consequences from poor decisions they made as teenagers. Stay away from drugs and alcohol, drive the speed limit and get good grades.
